BIOGRAPHY

Djibril Cissé was born on August 12, 1981 in Arles and spent his childhood in the Barriol district among his six brothers and sisters. His father, Manqué Cissé, a former footballer of Ivorian origin.


He begins to play in the club of his city, the Athletic Club Arlésien. At 13, he continued his training in sports studies in Nimes for two years. Then in 1996, he joined the training center of AJ Auxerre, under the leadership of Guy Roux.

At the beginning of 2001, he was propelled into the AJA eleven that he would never leave. Selected for the 2002 World Cup. Cissé can unfortunately only watch the fiasco of the Blues, eliminated in the first round without having scored a single goal.


In January 2004. Djibril Cissé signed up with the English club Liverpool. During the season, Cissé suffered a serious broken leg. The player is locked out for the rest of the season. The player arrives on Wednesday July 12, 2006 in Marseilles where during 2 seasons he made the happiness of the supporters.


The Ivorian will then go through clubs like Sunderland, Panathinaikos, Lazio Rome or even Queens Park Rangers. After 583 professional matches and almost as many haircuts, Djibril Cissé will hang up his boots at the age of 34.


Atypical sportsman, keen on fashion, also stands out on the pitch with his extravagant haircuts, and launches his clothing brand called Mr. Lenoir, in 2012.


Now a retired footballer, former French international Djibril Cissé can indulge in his other passion: DJ-ing!
